What is SM6
Chase SM6 is an aqueous seaweed extract which is sold world wide as a PLANT GROWTH STIMULANT for increasing yield and above all improving the quality of agricultural and horticultural crops. SM6 is highly concentrated, containing no less than 30 % soluble seaweed solids.
Scientific research has identified naturally occurring growth stimulants such as cytokinins and betaines in seaweed extracts. There is still some uncertainty about the precise mode of action of these substances, when applied to plants, but there is no doubt that foliar applications of SM6 have a stimulating effect on the various growth processes of the plant.
GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CROPS
Applications of SM6 help the plant to develop healthy foliage and a good root system. These in turn will optimise photosynthetic activity and make the best use of available soil nutrients. Repeated applications of SM6 over a number of years encourage a build up of the micro organism population in the soil, which enable the plant to make more effective use of manures and fertiliser. This is also reflected in a general improvement in the health of perennial crops.
RELIEVING THE STRESS IN YOUR CROPS
One of the major benefits of using SM6 is the alleviation of stress, whether is is caused by drought, excess water, pests/disease attack or extremes of temperature. It seems likely that, as well as encouraging root and foliar growth to help cope with these problems, ingredients within seaweed induce systemic acquired resistance, SAR, to combat stress. At the end of the growing season SM6 will delay senescence, thus enabling the plant to mobilise more of its nutrients into the ear, in case of cereals, or into the roots in the case of root crops.

- SM6 increase crop yields and quality by stimulating the plant to maximise photosynthetic activity increasing starch/sugar and protein production.
- SM6 treated crops remain productive longer and can give an extra flush, providing a higher yield of better quality produce.

- SM6 improves seedling survival rate and stimulates root development.
- SM6 has been shown to provide protection against marginal frosts.
- Sm6 encourages healthy growth which in turn enables the plant to better withstand attacks by pests and diseases.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Shake well before use
- Dilute at rates from 1 in 40 to 1 in 200. Appllied with the appropriate water rate SM6 can be mixed with most chemicals, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer concerned. If in doubt consult your distributor or Chase Organics
